An Official Welcome to All Rosicrucian Organisations

The Beehive Project was a quietly run invitation to all Rosicrucian fraternities to participate in a cooperative movement that reflects the true spirit of fraternity. At Pansophers we stand together in our shared interest in the Rosicrucian Tradition and therefore invited various fraternities to consider a joint effort to solidify the presence of Rosicrucian groups for aspirants.

The official invite was addressed to “all the Rosicrucian Grand Masters of the various fraternities of the world” and sent by Pansophers in February 2020.  The letter was sent by Samuel Robinson, Stephen Murtaugh and Hayward Gladwin to twenty one independent Rosicrucian fraternities in total.

Most of you will know our site and efforts and that we are – briefly speaking – a site made up of Rosicrucians from various schools, which freely disseminates quality articles and information on the foundational Rosicrucian principles. As a community we carry a particular focus on the tenets of the manifestos, which join us all together in our focus on the Rosicrucian Tradition.

Pansophers offers an unbiased view and fair representation of all Rosicrucian groups. We also constantly provide direction to help seekers find the best order suited to them (without favouritism).

This has taken many forms, including developing a community culture that values the notion that it is impolite in our community for someone to constantly recommend their own group to any new members who looking for an Order to join. Instead, we actively encourage people to listen to that person’s interest (be it masonic, mystical or hermetic etc.) and from there recommend joining one of the various groups. An informal relationship, it can be said, already existed with other fraternities.

In the invitation letter of our project we expressed that most of our readers are interested in hearing more about each Rosicrucian society, their activities, lines of study and modes of activity, be it masonic or more mystically inclined. Therefore, we proposed a joint-effort course of action which would enable our online platform, pansophers.com, to host articles and news from these honourable societies.

During discussions with each Rosicrucian leader we spoke of the impact we could jointly have if each Rosicrucian Organization involved would publish one article each per year, in the form of a blog post on Pansophers.com. The contributions from each fraternity would be spread across the whole year in terms of publication dates to allow for each fraternity to be equally represented on our site.

The requested role to contribute one blog post per year, likewise, coming from each organization, might not seem a huge commitment. Yet the impact for students, from all the various Orders, would be extremely valuable, especially in centering our movement to the broader tradition itself.

Social media is obviously something all organizations need embrace, whether material or spiritual. As a platform Pansophers offers a neutral ground for each fraternity to find welcoming readers. At Pansophers we ensure fair play, no-nonsense high-quality research and wish to serve ALL R+C Orders.

The notion of having a series of blog post from all the organizations does far more than just centre our tradition, however. As a standard, it sends a message to the world the inner pan-Rosicrucian spirit.

In order to achieve the vision of the Beehive Project our first invite was shortly followed by a guideline framework to ensure blog post contributions are non-political and follow some simple rules.

Participating Rosicrucian fraternities do receive some benefits in return. Their once per year blog post naturally allows them to interest potential new students as a by-product of their contribution.

What do we get at Pansophers in return?

Actually not that much. We don’t recruit students nor invite anyone for any special meetings. We do not have any products nor any books of our own for sale. We are not setting up any kind of umbrella organisation as we believe that each group should be sovereign, and that the uniqueness and the diversity of the Orders offers a brilliant selection for anyone trying to find the right Order for their personal calling.

We dedicate our time and genuinely do it for the love of it. We love the greater Rosicrucian Tradition and we enjoy serving it. That is ultimately the most rewarding part. As for the good our Rosicrucian studies have done for us, needless to say, we are actively giving something back and take great pleasure in helping others.

“It was the right time to open our doors to the R+C bodies and invite a once per year contribution from each organization at an official level. Many students from all of all these fraternities have already enjoyed dialoguing with us for years. Therefore, the Beehive Project formalizes a certain spirit already seen between the various fraternities.” Samuel Robinson, Founder of Pansophers.
