The Authoritative Resource for Rosicrucian Studies

Pansophers.com started out as a small blog back in 2015 but quickly grew to become the number one Rosicrucian blog online, shared by many adepts, researchers, and authors, hailing from multiple Rosicrucian fraternities. This makes Pansophers the only non-denominational Rosicrucian website.

While it is true that there is more than one Rosicrucian Fraternity, Pansophers encourages positive interactions between the various Rosicrucian organizations along with individual students when encountering seekers from other Rosicrucian organisations. The ideal of “fraternity” need not be limited to one’s own organization, exclusively favouring its members as your own brothers and sisters while dismissing others. No matter the fraternity, we are all Rosicrucians. Pansophers represents this ideal.

As an organisation, we do not claim authority, nor are we to repeat the mistake of those Rosicrucians who set up the federation of F.U.D.O.S.I in 1934. Pansophers enjoys the diversity each fraternity brings to the Rosicrucian Tradition and supports the continuation of the autonomous sovereignty of the various Rosicrucian Orders. As a society, Pansophers does not exist to “compete” with other Rosicrucian fraternities. What we do offer is an unbiased view and fair representation of all Rosicrucian groups. We also constantly provide direction to help seekers find the best Order suited to them without favouritism.

This has taken many forms, including developing a community culture that values the notion that it is impolite in our community for someone to constantly recommend signing up to their own group for any new community members who are looking for an Order to join. Instead, we actively encourage people to listen to that person’s interest (be it masonic, mystical, or hermetic etc.) and from there recommend joining one of the various groups. Before the launch of the Beehive Project, an informal relationship always existed between all Rosicrucian fraternities and ourselves.

New visitors should see our Rosicrucian Groups directory, representing all the fraternities.

Advisory Committee of Pansophers

Our leaders are practitioners and researchers representing several distinct traditions and areas of academic research. Decisions influencing the overall direction of our site and projects are decided by the advisory committee. Each representative has demonstrated excellence in Rosicrucian research and lead several projects published through Pansophers.

The Unifying Rosicrucian Tradition

The most active and informative Rosicrucian bloggers online agreed to join Pansophers to create a single website for publishing news, book announcements, esoteric revelations, and research which investigates the earliest material of the tradition itself. The society is therefore a non-society in that each contributor to Pansophers.com comes from other independent Rosicrucian organisations.

The focus of this site therefore is to bring YOU exciting reading material. What’s more, the signature approach of Pansophers is to provide objective views on the Rosicrucian Tradition.

The Pansophers.com slogan is: “Cooperation overcomes competition.” Our website was only possible through inter-fraternal relations.

Although we have differences, many principles and symbols unite us in the greater Rosicrucian Tradition. The unifying principle for the community at Pansophers is our dedication to the greater and broader Rosicrucian movement.

By “greater and broader” we mean the essential Rosicrucian Tradition which inherently belongs to us all, as an authentic heritage, which is grounded upon the early manifestos and which underlies all the various organizations in common essence.

This greater Rosicrucian Tradition transcends any single Order and unites us in common interest. At Pansophers we may stand together against the influences of pop-culture occultism, egoic-occult forms of selfish self-development, mundane magic and sexual-occult bodies that not only have started to invade modern perspectives on Rosicrucianism but also defame our honourable tradition.

Education and Participation:

New students and long-term Rosicrucian members will both find engaging activities.

New seekers are given an objective overview of the various Rosicrucian fraternities one can join. This is provided through our series the Reviews of the Rosicrucian Orders. All visitors should read the five part series along with our other article, “How to Choose a Rosicrucian Order, Which is Right for Me?”

Seasoned Rosicrucian students or organization leaders can access traditional information. After finishing years of monograph lessons there is always more to learn. Our site freely provides translations of original material and academic perspectives for study. You can also contribute a blog post of your own.

Aside from being a networking portal, Pansophers supports and coaches upcoming authors.

The Pansophers Beehive Project

As our readership at Pansophers consists of members from many Rosicrucian Fraternities. Therein we can see individuals looking over the fence, so to speak, at other teachings from alternative Rosicrucian sources and taking notice of the greater Rosicrucian Tradition itself, even regarding alternative lineages as equals. For others it means taking up a genuine interest in alternative Rosicrucian sources which ad new insights to their current studies, where once they were perhaps taught within a secular environment.

In February 2020 all of the world’s Rosicrucian Fraternities were invited to join our blog. The Beehive Project invites each Rosicrucian organisation to publish one blog post per year with us. Our request was that they share something of historical or spiritual interest for readers and in particular offer some material that helps communicate the unique aspects of their individual Rosicrucian currents.

On a mundane level it looks like a rollout of several blog post from independent Orders who have agreed to contribute. On a fraternal level it proves we do stand for something higher and can rise high above petty human differences. However, on a spiritual level it proves we can embody the solar principle of harmony.

Originally, Pansophers was a blog run by one person. Samuel Robinson explains how it grew:

“Rosicrucianism is our spiritual pursuit and looking over the past one hundred years there has always been an attitude between some Rosicrucian organisations that it is THEIR Rosicrucian Order which is somehow the better one, and the “only true representative” of the original Rosicrucian brotherhood.

On the other hand, I studied in one particular Rosicrucian fraternity and had fostered great relationships with members from several other Rosicrucian groups in which I held no membership. We recognized that the competitive, even sectarian attitude, to promote the superiority of one fraternity, or one official brand of Rosicrucianism, over another, simply put, is the outdated modus operandi of the last century.

Spirituality means advancement and our little circle of supporters from different Rosicrucian communities quickly grew into a collective movement which wished to simply focus on the tradition itself. During the exchanges, people learned to be considerate of the variety of Rosicrucian currents and developed a culture of giving each other space to allow for differences. An inter-fraternity sub-culture has grown.

Instead of focusing on differences, we saw the aspects of teachings held by others, which would enhance our own studies, seen from another angle. We developed a natural dialogue, which allowed for openness and fairness. Pretty soon we asked ourselves, shouldn’t this be the way we all get along?

I started the Rosicrucian Reviews series as a way to demand the entire online community stop and think. It was aimed to remind people of the primacy of the greater Rosicrucian Tradition itself. Ultimately, there is an inner tradition, we call the Invisible Rosicrucian Order, and on this point all Rosicrucians agree. If we raise our thinking to this level, then we can peacefully and authentically BE Rosicrucians together.”

Samuel Robinson, Founder of Pansophers.
